Our Story
The impetus behind ECOLITTER™ came from my aging mother carrying heavy clay cay litter and needed a lighter alternative is when when ECOLITTER™ was envisioned. Not only is hemp hurd up to 7 times more absorbent than clay but the weight difference of hemp hurd vs. clay cat litter is where alternitive eco-friendly cat litters shine. One cubic foot of dry clay litter weighs approximately 30 to 70 pounds, depending on the specific type and particle size vs one cubic foot of ECOLiTTER™ is approximately 10 pounds.
